I’m in Provence but there is no lavender. It seems like there is a bug in the system. But those instagram posts? Those postcards? Those tourism brochures? I’m not even talking about fresh lavender. It is the wrong time of the year for fields of purple. Somehow I expected there to be a plethora of lavender flavoured everything but in particular, hot chocolate. But at Le Saint Chocolate that isn’t an option, unfortunately. They do have a lot of options to choose from. The website suggests singles origin chocolates, but I did not see any evidence in store, on the menu or displays, in drinking form at least. There is plain chocolate which is lightly sweetened and quite enjoyable. Most of the options though all lean very, very heavily towards the ultra sweet side with many syrups to choose from. Options include praline noisette, caramel or pistachio, interestingly only available in large (4.40 euros) or extra large (4.80euros).
The café probably has the nicest terrace in town though (avoid sitting inside which is right next to the toilets). They also serve a wide variety of other drinks and foods.

Before stopping here though, I would strongly recommend that you first visit Aline Gehant, an incredible chocolatier we discovered by accident and that quickly became one of my favourite chocolate stops ever anywhere. Her products are not only gorgeous and beautifully made but have clean, fresh flavor profiles. You can find her at 15 Rue des 3 Faucons. If you need some food before, or after all of this chocolate, stop for some incredible empanadas at Cno on 52 Rue des Fourbisseurs.
